Juggan Kazim Pakistani Actress
There are many sides to her person, and then, some more: effervescent; bubbly; mercurial; energetic (to the point of being restless almost); dynamic; highly social; very (read non-stop, if you please!) talkative; and an extremely animated actor, model, host, and what not!
But her dynamic personality goes much deeper than just the glamorised, celebrated image the world goes gaga over. In Spotlight, she chooses to reveal her real self just a shade deeper, and on a relatively personal level….
What makes Juggan Kazim, Juggan Kazim, is difficult to pin-point.
Even more difficult is the question, “Who is Juggan Kazim?”
A dynamic actor?
An effervescent host or anchor person?
A petite model?
An intriguing socialite?
Or someone else?
I guess a little bit of all this, and yet more.
But when asked the same question from Kazim, here’s what she came up with:
“Hmmm…..who is Juggan Kazim? Difficult to tell, but if you ask who is JK as a person, I have absolutely no doubts in my mind that first and foremost, I am a mother – a mom -- and that defines who I am now, in everyday life. I wouldn’t say all, but yes, most of the decisions that I take in life now are taken in accordance with the fact that I am a parent.”
Although she is seen as an actor, a model and an anchor person, JK feels it is acting where her heart truly lies. She enthuses “I love acting! Even when I was very small and someone would ask me what I was going to be when I grew up, I would reply “Main bari ho kay actor banoon gi!” Not that I was particularly hooked on movies or something of the like, but this really was one spontaneous answer that would come to me.”
About her family background, Kazim says that she is a totally Lahore-based gal, with a childhood spent in diversified environments. She explains “My parents got separated when I was hardly a year old, so I do not have the faintest of memories of them living together. I grew up in my Nano’s house, and used to see my dad only on weekends. Justice Akhlaque is my grandfather, and Abbas Raza Kazim, my father. So, you can imagine with both my paternal and maternal families so high profile, and too dignified and proper ever to consider acting as a profession, what a shocker my ambitions must have been!”
Sara Chaudhry Pakistani Actress

Vaneeza Ahmed Pakistani Actress
Vaneeza Ahmad was born in Lahore,Pakistan but later moved to Germany with her parents to study. She was pressured by her parents to get into medicine when she was in high school. She was to return to Pakistan at the age of 18 to study further medicine but her plans were thwarted by a lack of high school physics and she decided to rather attend Kinnaird College in Lahore.
With her interests still inclined towards medicine, she graduated from Kinnaird College with a bachelor's degree in psychology. In her brief stay at the college, she started to model casually. Not much interested in modelling as a career option, she was showered with offers from various fashion designers, some of which were notable in the Pakistani fashion industry including the likes of fashion designer Nilofer Shahid with whom she did her first shoot, and photographer Khawar Riaz. She is a close friend of the makeup duo Athar and Shahzad, as well as designer Umar Sayeed and often speaks favourably about them in the press.
She was later involved with Sheryar Sumar, belonging to the Mohd Farooq Textile Mills family. During their relationship, the couple came up with the "V9 project", this project focused on designs of fabrics and outfits for trendy young women, and was marketed using Vaneeza as the model, until the couple split. After their breakup, things reportedly went sour between the two, and Vaneeza is no longer a part of the V9 project. She is now said to be involved with another similar project with another textile mill.
Recently Vaneeza conjured a brand name V9 for her range of lawn clothing along with Shehryar Sumar of Muhammad Farooq Mills where the clothes were manufactured. Vaneeza was chosen as the brand ambassador and the branding created a hype among the fashion conscious public. The collection consisted of nine different lawn prints created by designers that included Nomi Ansari, Umar Sayeed and Hassan Sheheryar Yasin. In March 2006, the collection sold-out in a series of exhibitions and since then has acquired great acclaim.
Upon consultation and her inclinations towards superstitious beliefs,Vaneeza changed the brand name in 2008 to ‘V Lawn’ while Sumar carried on the banner for the V9 clothing line. She has now teamed up with more designers including the likes of Mehdi and Maheen along with designers that worked with her on the V9 collection. The new collection is not limited to lawn clothings but also features chiffon, raw silk and khaadi wear. With her initial exhibitions in Lahore and Islamabad already a success in April 2008, she planned to launch fashion shows to promote her brand under the new name for which she was supported by many Pakistani designers including Deepak Perwani and Sonya Battla for they had lent their support for her previous collection as well.

Rubab Khaadi Pakistani Model
We first knew Rubab as the ravishing runway sensation who was sure to be featured in all the top fashion dos. Be it in Pakistan, or on foreign shores, you could be certain of the girl being a part of the fashion activity. Having been around for quite some time, Rubab finally decided to branch out and do something other than modeling. And what could be better than pampering women in general and models in particular.
And so we were introduced to Rubab, the entrepreneur. It’s been a year and a half since she opened the doors of her salon to style savvy ladies. These days you will find her more at the salon than at fashion shows for she realizes that, “to make a business flourish you have to give it your 100 percent and I am focusing on my salon currently. Of course, I’m modeling, that goes without saying, but I’m spending more time at the salon than elsewhere.”
Rubab feels that now is the time to get into acting as well. “Initially I used to get a lot of offers but I would turn them down as I did not have the time, neither the mind to act. But now I can devote time to acting and I would certainly take on a good offer if and when it comes my way,” she discloses.
Jia Ali Pakistani Actress
Belonging to a rather a conservative family, this remarkable model was very peculiar about the projects she chose. She also happened to receive many great offers for working in Lollywood, though Jia had other bigger plans set for her.
In 1991, Jia Ali achieved international acclaim, after her 'Wrangler' commercial. Subsequent to that, Gia walked down the ramp in her very graceful catwalk for the first time and was soon noticed by big names in the respective field. While, she was in Islamabad, it is there that Nabila noticed Jia Ali and introduced her to famous producer Sajjad Gul, who infact, without a second notice, signed her for his movie.
Jia earned huge success from he debut appearance. And that started out with a series of acts in numerous movies which took her to heights of success.
Jia Ali, who started off as a model, personally, worships modeling more than movies. That can be considered the reason why she is frequently seen moving from Lahore to Karachi for various modeling assignments.
Achieving stardom is not at all an easy journey. Who knows it better than Jia, herself. She attained fame and recognition, parallel to facing hindrances, manipulations, backstabbing, resentment and personal rivalries. After all, reaching this high isn’t an easy task.
