Veena Malik

Veena Malik Pakistani Model

Veena Malik (born Zahida Malik) is a Pakistani Film and Television actress and model. Veena Malik was born in a conservative family of Rawalpindi, an industrial city of Pakistan on 26th February, 1980Career and hype
Her father is a doctor who has served in army medical hospitals for several years. She faced great adversity from her family when announcing her decision to join showbiz. It was her grandmother's persuasiveness which enabled her to get her father to finally agree to her working in movies and television plays.

Like all people desiring to join the industry in Pakistan, Veena started with the film industry in Lahore, the home of Lollywood. She was to meet the likes of Mukhtar Ahmed and Jarar Rizvi in 1999, who landed her a role in the epic Pakistani film Tere Pyar Main. By the end of the year, she was already being considered for other such projects when she became a part of a growing scandal.

Veena has almost always been cast as a supporting actor. It is unclear if she herself stayed clear of the leading roles or was denied them. Industry enthusiasts say that the only genre Veena was good at was 'comedy' and the directors failed to create a leading role around her acting skills. The criticism was taken well with Veena and she began to hone her skills even more in comedy. In 2002, she was called by Prime TV to host a show called Prime Gupshup for them ushering a new direction for her comedic skills and she improvised on the hour-long show occasionally mimicking actors. The show's format was such a great success added with the charisma that she brought with her that Veena received offers from various other channels as well. She was recently cast to host the Geo TV show Hum Sab Umeed Say Hain where she was hailed for her comedic parodies.

In 2007, she graced the red carpet event of the Lux Style Awards and was awarded as being the ‘most stylish celebrity on the carpet’. With the recent hype surrounding her achievements at the LSA, Veena was offered roles after another in various films. Staying away from films which she calls 'formula films' she starred most recently in Mohabbatan Sachiyan, which was considered the best Punjabi film to come out of Lollywood in a long time. This film features Veena in the leading role and has paved her way as a prominent A-list actress in the Pakistani film industry.

Nadia Hussain

Nadia Hussain Pakistani Model

I had it in me from the very beginning but it developed with the passage of time. I was never camera shy; I enjoy it and am at ease in front of it

I have been associated with media for quite a long time because Tina sani is my khala; we have literally been born and raised in the media circle. As a kid I did crystal toothpaste as and a video shoot for my khala. Thus I had always been touch with media so I didn't face any problem on that front.

n think it has a lot to do with my luck, apart from hard work of course. Unfortunately in this country, a lot depends on what kind of contacts you have how you manipulate them. I am very lucky that I started with the right people. Mubashir khan was the one who introduced me to everybody in the fashion scene like imran kureishi, frieha altaf, Deepak etc.

I have never thought of modeling, as a profession because I know one day it will have to end. Modeling has a very short time span. If I enjoy it, I will continue, but it will always be my hobby and my second profession.

I have always been inclined towards medicine. When I finished my A; level I had to make a decision about my future career. I wanted to do cosmetic surgery, but this actually requires a five-year MBBS course. And then another two years of specialization and PhD etc… so that require a lot of time. With BDS, it's simpler yet interesting; BDS was just four years and thought that i can at least start my practice.

I don't think I'm perfect. If I was I would have perfectly blow-dried hair and would look prim and proper at all time. But I don't. I end up going to Sunday bazaar with oil in my hair. I will go to Agha's with oil and chapals. So being perfect is the last thing I think about.

Once a model is recognized I think she projects more an image of glamour. But what the people forget is that we have our own personal lives and personal space as well. And it’s very frustrating at time when your privacy is being disturbed

I went to London for shehzad Roy's video. People recognized us and asked me for my autographs. Over here people do recognize you but they don't usually come to take autographs. I am sure they end up seeing so many celebrities on the street. They probably think ‘keh kia hum ab sub keh autograph lain’.

That female model is willingly available. And they can work for you free of cost. At time it just bugs me. Sometimes people call and ask me to bring my model friends to their party. Even when it comes to work, they think that they can get their way around. They simply can't believe that models can actually say no.

I think one must have a strong faith and the courage to say "no". This way you can actually make a niche for yourself. People will then remember you as the girl who did not go beyond her limits and made her own personal identity instead of just going with flow, I try to do this but it's definitely not easy to say 'no'. I still don't believe I am where I am right now. It's only been four years and people say that I am amongst the top models but I don't think I have attained my peak.

For the first time Suneeta received international fame and recognition and that did wonders for her. After a little international exposure, Suneeta was brave enough to muster up the strength and submit her portfolio directly to fashion designers such as Dior and Gucci. Suneeta landed the job with Dior right away but it was not until a little while that Suneeta started working for Gucci as well. Suneeta opened Dior's show in Karachi and then in Dubai, London, Paris and Moscow.
Suneeta Marshall's fame was further increased when she decided to star in Abaraul Haq's music video Preeto (Pretty). After her first success Suneeta decided to star in the music video for the Shehzad Roy song "Jana". Suneeta also decided to try her hand at acting and started off by doing a television movie called Tere Bina (without you) in which she played a young spoiled girl who elopes with her boyfriend and then later learns about the responsibilities of marriage. Writer, Noor-ul-Huda Shah, cast included Mahnoor, Ghazal Siddiqui, Badar Khalil, and Hussain Qazi. The story revolves around a village girl, 'Marvi'. Mahnoor played the friend of 'Marvi.' It was a touching story deftly related to the public.
